Optibase Launches Creator Ingest Server

The Creator ingest server, new from Optibase at the NAB Show this year, is a real-time ingest server for post-production, video-on-demand, playout and archiving applications. It’s designed with the company’s hardware-based encoding engine and offers a single ingest session for MPEG-2, H.264 and Windows Media SD and HD master files together with low-resolution copy.
Its real-time quality control module lets you validate content during the creation and viewing of high-resolution stored files in playback mode. It’s also compatible with some of the popular NLE models on the market today, which lets users seamlessly fit it into existing workflows. Additionally, Creator offers CableLabs VOD content and metadata compliancy and supports multiplexing formats such as QuickTime, MXF, program streams and transport streams.
