To further expand the networking capabilities of its equipment, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems is introducing a 16-channel ADI input/output card. Fully compatible with any Yamaha digital product with a mini-YGDAI slot, the MY16-MD64 is gangable up to three cards for a total of 64 channels. An emergency mode allows the card to switch from its native optical format to coaxial operation.
Yamaha is also migrating recent upgrades to its DM2000 digital console downmarket to the DM1000, 01V96 and 02R96 digital consoles. Through the magic of Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) the aforementioned older consoles can utilize a number of retro effects such as select classic compressors, equalizers and reverbs. Also in the upgrade are surround tools as well.
