Fujifilm Adds P2 Cards to Media Family

Fujifilm is introducing P2-format memory cards, available in 16 and 32 GB capacities. A 64 GB-capacity card will be available later this year. When the 64 GB P2 cards become available, a single card will provide more than four hours of DVCPRO footage (64 GB x 4 minutes per GB); more than two hours of DVCPRO50, AVC-Intra 50 (64 GB x 2 minutes per GB) or 64 minutes of AVC-Intra 100 or DVCPRO HD.
The 64 GB P2 card will work immediately with all P2 HD camcorders purchased since May 2007. P2 and P2 HD products purchased prior to that date require a free, downloadable software upgrade available via Panasonic’s Web site.
