Atrato, a provider of high-volume on-demand storage for the digital entertainment and web sectors, will take advantage of the NAB Show to release its first product, the Velocity1000 (V1000) storage system.
Key to the performance of the V1000, is SAID (Self-Maintaining Array of Identical Disks). SAID configurations aim to increase maintenance efficiency, eliminate downtime and simplify operations.
The V1000 can address hundreds of hard disks with up to 11,000 IOPS (inputs/outputs per second) and 3,600 simultaneous streams. Up to 50TB of storage is available under the current configuration. The V1000 supports RAID 5, 6, 10 and 50 protocols.
Hardware elements of the V1000 are designed to significantly cut energy usage.
