MRC Launches New IP-Based Gateway

Microwave Radio Communications is showing the AMG2000, a bidirectional IP Gateway that provides IP connectivity over multiple wide-area network (WAN) pathways to support file transfer and remote van management.
The AMG2000 (Advanced Mobile Gateway) works in conjunction with the MTX5000 to provide an extension of the newsroom network into the field. With full Ethernet router functionality and VPN tunneling plus eight Ethernet switch ports, the AMG2000 also offers a Wi-Fi connection that may be activated for seamless local WLAN connectivity. EVDO and GSM interfaces are available.
The MTX5000 ENG Mobile Transmitter is a software-defined ENG mobile transmitter that enables RF management, encoding, and modulation locally in the field or remotely from the studio. Advanced features include SD/HD encoding, IP encapsulation, ASI multiplexing, and remote control.
MRC’s new IPRX de-encapsulates IP traffic from the ASI stream generated by an IP-enabled transmission system, such as the MTX5000. The output is available through an RJ-45 10/100 interface. A network-controlled application, IPRX includes a built-in Web browser control system for setup of all parameters.
MRC’s new MRX4000Plus high dynamic range ENG central receiver demodulator and decoder sustains all the features of the MRX4000 while adding a high dynamic range RF and IF section. The MRX4000Plus offers a 1RU form factor, full remote control by Ethernet or serial interfaces, digital and digital/analog configurations, a future-proof HD-ready platform, and seamless integration with MRC’s ENG, SNG and IP solutions.
