Lemo USA is showing off its MEERKAT triax to fiber-optic media converter at the NAB Show this year.
The MEERKAT lets users send TV signals over fiber-optic cable even when the camera is fitted with a triax connector.
And when coupled with the company’s 3K.93C connection system, the media converter allows television transmission over longer distances and higher levels of definition.
The 3K.93C is compact with two single-mode fiber contacts, two power contacts, and two signal contacts for HD camera interconnection systems. It is also fully AINSI/SMPTE (USA), ARIB (Japan) and EBU (Europe) compliant.
