AJA Launches New Converters

AJA Video Systems has launched a family of miniature converter products — the 3GM, 3GDA, HD10CEA and HA5. The converters are designed both for the broadcast and post-production markets and provide support for a wide array of the latest video and audio formats. All units are housed in small metal boxes for unobtrusive placement and those with the 3G designation handle 3Gbps throughput.
The HD10CEA converts SDI/HD-SDI video with embedded audio to analog video and four-channel balanced analog audio and will be available Q2 of 2008. The HA5 converts HDMI to SDI/HD-SDI and will be available in May of 2008. The 3GM interconnects dual-link 1.5G SMPTE372M and 3G SMPTE425M and will be available in Q2 of 2008. The 3GDA is a 1x6 3G HD-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI reclocking distribution amplifier and will be available in Q2 of 2008.
Additionally, AJA will continue to showcase the latest iterations of the Io HD and FS1 products, along with its Kona and Xena desktop video solutions.
