Digigram, a supplier of digital audio interfaces and networked devices, introduced IQOYA, a comprehensive product ecosystem of IP audio hardware equipment and software at a press conference Tuesday.

“We say this is an ecosystem because they are more than just point-to-point audio transport solutions,” said Eric Richardson, director of strategic marketing for Digigram. “IQOYA devices and software constitute the elements through a highly flexible and manageable IP audio infrastructure through content contribution, distribution and delivery.”

In total, there are three IQOYA hardware and three IQOYA software products released: *CALL, a two-channel IP audio contribution codec with SIP; *LINK, a two-channel IP audio distribution codec; *SERV, a multichannel IP audio server; V*CALL, a soft IP audio contribution codec with SIP; V*MOTE, an IP audio remote contribution solution with SIP; and V*CAST, an intranet IP audio distribution software suite.

The IQOYA products are based on FluidIP, an N/ACIP (EBU Tech 3326) compliant IP audio codec engine developed by Digigram. This provides quality of service optimization and maximizes audio quality and integrity of the stream.

Richardson said the products also incorporate SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which is the standard adopted by the voice-over-IP and telecommunications industries.

Over the past few years the company has developed and licensed technologies such as Visiblu, a network audio operating system. Visiblu-enabled solutions provide audio and data routing, encoding and processing across wide area networks using standards-based protocols.

The IQOYA products are using Visiblu, offering broadcasters a level of system control that allows them to manage, monitor and control all the devices and software on a regional, national or global basis.

“This agility, we believe, will give broadcasters not only the confidence to adopt IP audio, but a way forward to respond to programming needs and opportunities,” Richardson said.
