Disney-ABC, NAB Team Up for Diversity

This year’s NAB Show introduced the Supplier Diversity Event on Tuesday evening. The event was a cooperative effort between the NAB and the Disney-ABC Television Group in support of the Disney-ABC supplier diversity program.
The event featured a roundtable discussion between various Disney-ABC executives from different divisions, including broadcast, programming, engineering and ESPN.
“NAB is committed to the continued growth of diversity in the broadcasting business. The collaboration with Disney-ABC Television Group is but one of our many initiatives to advance that worthy cause,” said David K. Rehr, NAB president and CEO.
“Our broadcast businesses truly believe that diversity drives innovation and so we sought out NAB’s assistance in bringing the two together at this groundbreaking event,” said Steven Miller, senior vice president of strategic sourcing and procurement for The Walt Disney Co. “The NAB Show is the perfect setting to continue our commitment to providing opportunities for diverse suppliers in the broadcast and media production industries.”
